Topic Description:

A good manufacturers representative can help engineers in all phases of the design process. While some view reps as a pushy salesperson trying to sell the latest products, they are truly an untapped resource.  Engineers can utilize reps to tap into a vast wealth of knowledge focused not only on equipment but also on overall comfort systems design and ongoing engineer training.

Today’s technology is improving at a fast pace and it doesn’t just apply to cell phones, computers and other gadgets.  Commercial building equipment is also a benefactor of the rapid technology advances found in other areas of our lives.  A good rep can assist engineers with staying current in key features and benefits offered by the ongoing wave of innovative solutions.

The talk will showcase some of the key benefits of a good manufacturers rep and dispel some misconceptions. The talk will focus on how a rep can be your go-to resource with manufacturers, clients, and the latest equipment improvements.  Last, the talk will help engineers understand how to tap into the rep resources they have to improve building design, make their clients happier and save valuable time in the process.
