Third Saturday Project - Sustainability Event

Location of Program/Project: Freedom Park (enter via parking lot off of East Blvd)

Number of Volunteers: OPEN PELASE BRING A FRIEND!!

Brief Description of Volunteer Job: Volunteers will help staff at Freedom Park with park beautification and maintenance projects.

Parking and meeting location: Parking lot by the playground where the train is located. Meet at the Train

Volunteers please dress in comfortable clothing with closed toe shoes and bring work gloves and a water bottle.

·        98 acres

·        4 baseball fields, 12 tennis courts, 4 soccer fields

·        Basketball court, 2 volleyball courts  

·        Concession stand

·        7-acre lake

·        Bandshell 

·        2 playgrounds

·        Walking trails/paths, 5 outdoor shelters with grills

·        Connects to Little Sugar Creek Greenway (Little Sugar Creek Greenway: Morehead to Brandywine)
